Cultivar: Carolea (origin - Italy)

 

Said to be used for oil; and for green and black pickling.  Self incompatible.  Clingstone.

 

Reken Estate, planted in June of 2010:

The tree shown above is one of the five shown below, but to be honest I don't remember which one!  However, no matter, all five are doing excellent, with very little debilitation.  Especially considering they were planted the same year as having a really large crop relative to the size of the tree.

And here are some Carolea green olives.  To give you an idea of size, that is common 1/2" green tie tape in the photo.  Really sizing up nicely, but like all our other olives, it is a year for green olives.
