Cultivar: Chitoni (origin - Tunisia)
Chitoni is known internationally now-a-days as Chetoui.
Chetoui is one of the two major Tunisian olive oil cultivars (the other being Chemlali). According to the IOOC, it is also used for table olives.
The cuttings received from the NCGR had a very good propagation success rate, and came through the winter beautifully. NCGR data shows it ripening relatively early (late October), with a dark red coloration, and to be freestone.
